Desem Bread
  • Stores best at room temperature - for 5 days in a paper bag or with cut side on a cutting board.
  • Cover with a cotton cloth.
  • If the bread hardens, refresh it by sprinkling it with a bit of water and place it in a hot oven for 10 minutes.
  • This bread freezes great.
  • Thaw in bag.
  • Amazing toast! It is unsliced and baked free form (not in a pan – except for the Pumpkin Seed).
  • It is packed in a brown paper bag and a plastic bag slipped over it.
  • Not that we are fond of plastic – it keeps it from drying out.
Pita and Pizza Crusts
  • Store in the freezer for optimum freshness. They will keep about a week in the fridge. They are prone to mold as they are quite moist. This is one of the reasons we have chosen to have them as “Fresh Frozen” items in the stores.
Care of yeasted bread
  • Sliced for your convenience. This makes it easy to pull out a frozen slice or two.
  • Yeasted bread stores best in the fridge or freezer. No preservatives or additives to extend shelf life.
  • They freeze very well. Up to 6 months in a chest freezer.
  • Thaw frozen bread with the twist tie on. This prevents sogginess.
Care of bagel and buns
  • In the fridge or freezer is always best. No preservatives or additives.
  • We always have a concern that our breads and such get into refrigeration when you bring them home.
  • You paid a good price for it. We hope you get to enjoy all of it!
  • Muffins, cinnamon rolls, and quick breads
  • The fridge or freezer is a good place for these as well.
Cookies
  • They keep just fine at room temperature for several weeks.
